Account settings

This is your own personal area within The Celtic Link.com that will contain everything you need in order to manage what you do. Registration is required. However, this is quick, easy and completely FREE. Contained within 'My Account' are the following areas: My Site, My Profile, My Adverts, My Friends and My Messages. All of which are explained below in more detail.

My Site

My Site allows you to create and manage your own personal site on The Celtic Link.com. You can upload and share photos, music and video with others. Create and personalize your own homepage as well as set up your own profile, post to your blog and write reviews and rate bands and festivals etc.

My Profile

This is where you manage your own personal details. You can upload a profile image, chose a tagline and enter details for your Community page which includes information about yourself and interests etc. You can also control from here how your email alerts work when you receive messages.

My Friends

Make new friends or talk to old ones by adding them to this part of your account. This is where a list of all your friends are contained that you have added to your account. To add a friend, first search for the member you are after in the 'Community' area of The Celtic Link.com by selecting 'member' from the drop down list and then type in the Google style search box. You can also invite and recommend people to join The Celtic Link.com by entering the email address of each person you wish to invite in the white area under 'Invite others to join The Celtic Link.com. There is no limit to the number of people you can invite. The more the merrier! Just enter each email address on a separate line and click 'send'. You can also remove friends from your 'My Friends' at any point. They will not be notified when they have been removed.

My Messages

This is the part of The Celtic Link.com that allows you to communicate with other members and also your friends. You can read messages, create new ones and look at your sent items. See below for details on sending and reading messages.

My Adverts

This is where you can advertise your festival or event or promote your group or band on The Celtic Link.com for the world to see. You will be able to create new adverts and keep existing ones up to date. To get to this area click on the 'My Adverts' tab within the 'My Account' section.

Once there all you need to do is enter the name, choose what category it goes in (e.g. band, artist, festival etc) and then click 'create' and fill out as much detail as you can in the simple to use form. There is also a menu to the left of this form which allows more comprehensive details to be added including, images, audio and video etc.

To update new or additional info, just click on 'Update' once added.

How do I create a message?

Click on the 'My Messages' tab within the 'My Account' area which will take you to your 'Message Centre' where you can read and create messages. To create a message click the 'Create New' button on the left hand side menu, and then select a friend to send the message to from the drop down box. (These are people you have invited to be your friend). Then fill in the subject line and message. To send it click 'send' just below the body text. The person you are sending it to will be notified when they have received a new message.

How do I create a review?

You can create reviews on Festivals, Events, Groups, Bands or Artists. These reviews will appear on your community page and in some cases may also appear on the page which is the subject of your review.

Go to 'My Site' and on the left hand menu and click on 'Review'. To write the review, select a category, give it a title, a rating and then write your review. You can add images to your review as well. Just browse for the image on your PC and then click 'upload'. If you would like your review to be specifically featured on the artists, band or festivals main page of The Celtic Link.com please send it to us at alan@thecelticlink.com stating who the review is for. Only 'professionally' written reviews will be considered and all reviews will be closely scrutinized to avoid any likely offence or wrongdoing. The Celtic Link.com also reserves the right to withdraw reviews at any time.

Non featured reviews can be written or read by all members within the Community area of The Celtic Link.com.
