BELTAINE one of the most interesting Polish folk groups.

BELTAINE has made out its own unique sound thanks to the rare and extraordinary skill of combining traditional Celtic music
with modern music.

The Polish music group BELTAINE has been created in the year of 2002.
After a time of evolving and variations it shaped up into a group of seven musicians.
Those gifted musicians have a unique knack for skillful conjoining different styles
of music: they successfully commix traditional irish, scottish, breton music
(and, what’s more! also a classical indian music) with contemporary one. What’s more, they use the variety of instruments - not only traditional ones (such as fiddle, bouzouki, mandoline, whistles, bodhran, bombard, accordion or gaita pipes) but also rare and original instruments (such as: tabla, cajon, darabuka, djembe, timbales) or electric, bass guitar and percussion as well. It’s typical for them to be outside of the “celtic-music” bracket. The ability
of overpassing the borders of celtic and irish music to extract from modern ethno and world streams makes them very peculiar and interesting band and is the reason why they’ve performed at many festivals all over the world (Ollin Kan Festival Mexico, Rainforest World Music Festival Malaysia, Guinness Irish Festival Switzerland, Tom de Festa Portugal, Celtivales France, Celtica Festival Italy, Ethno-jazz Festival Moldova and many others).

The band:
Adam Romanski - fiddle
Grzegorz Chudy - low whistle, vocal, accordion, bombard, bansuri
Lukasz Kulesza – acoustic guitar
Bartlomiej Dudek – bass guitar
Jan Kubek – tabla, cajon, djembe, timbales
Jan Galczewski – irish bouzouki, electric guitar, galician bagpipes, bodhran,
Mateusz Sopata - drums
